Local Scholarships

The AAUW Del Mar-Leucadia branch offers scholarships for re-entry students. A re-entry student is defined as a student who did not go directly to college after high school, or a student who started college, dropped out, and is returning. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and live in San Diego County.

Applicants must plan to earn a four-year college degree, carry a minimum grade point average of 2.5 (if applicable) and must plan to attend school full-time (a minimum of 12 units).

Applicants must  have high school and any college transcripts sent directly from the registrar. Face-to-face interviews will be conducted with successful applicants.

Successful applicants may re-apply each year and will have preference. The amount of the scholarship is up to $2,000.00 and is dispersed to the school at the beginning of each semester.  Applicants must submit grades and new schedule at the end and beginning of each semester.
